Jul. 12, 2018 - After more than 30 years of service and successful commitment to REFRATECHNIK, Dr. Bernd Scheubel has retired as of 1 May of this year.

Dr. Scheubel began his career at the technical center of Krupp Polysius (TKIS), New Beckum. 

After five years working there as a mineralogist he joined REFRATECHNIK in 1987, starting as a sales manager for South America. 

In 1998, he was appointed a Member of Executive Management of REFRATECHNIK Cement GmbH in Goettingen.

In 2003, Dr. Scheubel joined the Management Board of REFRATECHINK Holding GmbH, Ismaning (Munich), the position he held until leaving for his retirement. The main concern of his work was the expansion of the international refractory business of REFRATECHNIK in the Americas and East Asia, mainly China. 

Besides his activities for REFRATECHNIK, Dr. Scheubel held positions at the executive boards of the World Refractory Association (WRA) and the European Refractory Association (PRE) for many years.
